Since Softbank is good for international calls, I will get a Softbank phone.
When I get to Japan, there will be people to help me get settled (i.e. get a bank account, find an apartment, get a cell phone...).

OR's upcoming single will be released in the same date with Gazette's new single.. Gazette is also my favorite band, by the way.

I know I'd be just as torn as you, BlackMonn. Luckily, my other favorite bands are German and Canadian, respectively, and don't really share a chart when it comes to releases. I never have to pick sides.

Maybe Gazette and OR can... tie? Yeah? lol I know, probebly not, but the one and two spots would be a nice comprimise, right? Is Gazette as big or bigger than OR in Japan at the moment?

their fanbase include fans in the US and Europe. Livejournal is where us, the overseas fans share news, downloads, scans, and much more. Every year fangirls from outside of Japan would come all the way to Japan only to watch their gigs and summer live.

but somehow, they never get the chance to stay on chart for a long time. cos you know, JPop fans in Japan are larger in size than those who adore JRock/JMetal. long story short, JPop is more widely known and can be more easily accepted.

I guessed u r one of Gazette's fans rite? Talking bout genres, OR is more 2 JRock or JPop? Honestly, I like 2 think/accept them as JRock band.

I figured Gazette was bigger, since honestly, OR's moment in the limelight has passed. They may still chart for a little while when new material hits the market, but they don't have the awesome staying power they had back in the days of musiq and Natural.

If by chance they do out rank Gazette on the release, they won't stay ahead for more than a week (if even that). For sure.

DreadFox is right, OR's going downhill. In this biz, those who can deliver something more original and raw will survive. It's common to hear fans arguing about "I like their old works better" . Well, can't be helped =\ People tend to love certain materials/songs/period that are much in the same way as those they first discovered from an artist, right??
