OR Fans plz help X(

ok i got a comment on my youtube vid Kirikirimai https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4GieJFMlMDk&feature=email this person named 69hellya69 posted a very dillematic comment and im feeling rather confused how should i reply him/her. so im expecting for ur help, all of u my OR family.  here is the following comment i meant: Cool song, not bad really. Just one thing, and im actually looked this up....and ihavent found much on it. Not trying to hate or anything but what music has the japanese made originally? Rap was african american thing. Rock was a europe america thing. so what original music did japanese do? OR sounds like every other rock band...Not hating, just wondering. Good attempt though

I don't get why it matters really..
Honestly I don't think it's important where or who came up with the original musicstyle. There's so0o much different music in the world that's from many many different places, and everybody is "stealing" from everybody anyway.
Rock and rap is just two music genre, and just because the japanese didn't came up with those two doesn't mean they haven't come up with any music at all. I'll bet the japanese came up with the traditional japanese music.. XD
But seriously, OR does NOT sound like every other rock band, and if he/she thinks that he/she can't have listened to their music very much..not to be rude, but come on!!! XDD
One of the reasons I like OR so much is because in fact their music is different and have a lot of variety you don't find in many other bands..at least I don't know about anyone.

indeed i was provoked to but i dun wanna piss him/her off in my youtube ~,~ i think what makes us love OR is not only their unique music but also the members personality. they are very funny n entertaining people and i think he/she doesnt hear many OR songs cuz OR put some japanese music instruments in their songs like Rakuyou, Kizuna, Matsuri Danshaku. so OR actually does not leave their japanese sounds right? right? right?

Well.. OR's music has different cultures and styles xD That makes them unique =) They're different from any other bands! They have rap, rock, ballad, pop, etc..

As you see from wiki: Their style is also made up of many different cultures and musical styles from around the world. This is attributed to their hometown being Okinawa, a well-known station for American military bases and, thus, cultures and different styles often blend.

What's wrong with japanese band having rock/alternative rock genre? As long as they're good! They're much more better than those Americans! =p

& yes, Kizuna, Rakuyou and Matsuri Danshaku have Okinawa's image Okinawa saikou!

Seriously tho I'm getting fed up with those ppl who criticize OR through youtube comments. I mean if u don't like it then why are you wasting your time watching the vids =.= And yeah, just because a certain genre originated from a country doesn't mean that that country has a TOTAL CLAIM to that genre and ppl from other countries can't make music in that genre, it's a FREE WORLD! And when you talk abt ROCK and RAP, which are pretty mainstream kind of music nowadays, so what? There's a lot of foreign bands who follow this kind of music and there's nothing wrong with that.

Hehe just my thoughts...but then again we could all be overreacting about this and the person who left the comment could have actually just wanted to know what kind of music Japan originated ^^;;

if he is looking for really japanese music. those are like traditional okinawan music and stuff but all the music in every country is influence buy something n jpop rite now is influnce by different genre. so, original japanese songs r traditional song.

yah i think he/she doesnt really know bout japan, i meant for us who like japan we know bout japanese culture, music, bla bla bla so we wont be questioning bout it thanx for all the replies girls, luv u all!!!

haha, so what with the origin of Rap or Rock? So we can't sing classical coz it's not coming from Asia?

just tell him or her that everybody has their own taste of music and it's up to them, whereever they come from, to make any kind of music... and OR is one of the example... and what's with pop?? does he or she think Pop comes from Japan? hahahhaaaa, makes me laugh... XDD

yah its a lil unfair to say that this genre or that genre belongs to certain country, i love songs from many different countries (even if i dint understand the language XD) music is universal language right, everyone may enjoy it

the japanese original music is the traditional one.. like enka..

modern Japanese music is indeed a blend of of many kinds of music genres from all around the world. you can even say it's a "copy" of western style. in my opinion, what differs Japanese music style with western style is the amount of appreciation inside a song. as you can see, western songs we mostly hear nowadays are those crappy cheap radio songs from money-intended song makers. =_= they make selling songs because they are easier to remember and be known internationally. selling songs are not always good and good songs aren't always selling.

even though Japanese music is a copy of western music but Japanese songs still have sincere lyrics and unique tunes.

what makes me sure that Japanese songs are unique and distinctive??
well, i had once wondered, why did i listen to Japanese music? and then i found a good answer to that.....
one day, i listened to the radio in my dad's car and there was a Japanese song playing. i always get psyched every time i hear Japanese songs airing on local radio stations so was i that time. but as the minutes went by, i wasn't amused...at all. i thought it was strange because normally, no matter who sings the song as long as it's Japanese i will never be so hating.

and then after the song ended, the DJ said "okay, so that was "(song title here)" by J-ROCKS!"

and i went "duh!" J-ROCKS is an Indonesian band whose music style is copying L'arc~en~ciel!

my conclusion is...
1. i don't listen to jpop/jrock because of language preferences.
2. Japanese music is ORIGINAL and UNIQUE in a way not everyone notice. i do, of course. LOL because..i don't listen to those Japanese-wanna be bands. they just can't get any near to Japanese music and that proves Japanese music's SOLID originality.

yea its true we should only be glued to the culture, all free expression of ideas and mold a creative idea to change something that sounded boring to be fun, it is only fair ...
so also the music, do not have to be glued by culture ... can be if we only listen to and create something glued by one thing only ... it will feel very boring is not it??

oh well i guess i will close this topic cuz basically the kid who left me that comment is just meesing around with OR and want to show off his fave band (which i do not know who they are and i bet they are not better than OR) and he replied my comment with a very offensive words that i have to delete it cuz i dun want to raise angers from OR fans in youtube. thanx everyone for ur support!
