you know what.. only elders who speak Okinawan now.. believe me, they (okinawan people) had been through a hard time during war time coz they were not allowed to speak uchinaaguchi. can you imagine how it feels to be forbid to speak your own language?

that's why Uchinaaguchi is a very rare language now...

so maybe there's no youngsters who really speaks Uchinaaguchi now...

yah i read it in one of these websites bout okinawa by coincidence. its tragical cuz in my country, indonesia, the traditional languages are being used everyday. i think okinawa might having the same fate like the ainu, cuz their origin is in extinction T-T

i've just learned this:

gusuyo!! means minna-san

hajimethi wouganabira *most polite*
hajimethi yaSai *casual for MEN*
hajimethi yaTai *casual for WOMEN*
hajimethi ya *addressed to younger*
which means hajimemashite ^^

and....

Wanne, Shinrei di ichoibin.
which means I am Shinrei or Watashi wa Shinrei desu.

thx to Byron Fija whose video i got from my kouhai ^^v
